Hey folks! I'm planning a weekend fishing trip and looking for some top fishing spots in Ontario that are good this time of year. Preferably somewhere peaceful, with a chance to catch walleye or pike. Any suggestions for lakes or rivers that are ideal for a short getaway?

but I’d also throw in the French River. Lots of hidden spots along the banks, and I’ve had great luck with bass there too. Also, it’s not overly crowded, which makes it perfect for a relaxing weekend. Don’t forget to check local regs for catch limits!
Hey! For a peaceful fishing trip, I’d recommend checking out the Timmins area. You can find great spots like the Mattagami River or the Black River, which are perfect for walleye and pike. It’s quieter than some of the more popular lakes, so you’ll have plenty of space to relax. You can also find some great local fishing guides and bait shops through Timmins, ON Local Businesses if you want some extra tips or gear. Hope you have a fantastic trip and tight lines!
