ree

Are you a UNC Charlotte student looking for a meaningful internship that allows you to make a real impact in your community while developing professional skills?

EMBRACE ALL LATINO VOICES is now accepting applications for four paid internship positions for the Spring 2026 semester — and speaking more than one language is not a requirement to apply.

At EMBRACE, interns are part of a dynamic and mission-driven team working to empower families, promote health equity, and strengthen local communities across the Carolinas. Each position provides hands-on experience in nonprofit work, mentorship opportunities, and flexible schedules that accommodate academic priorities and personal well-being.

Being bilingual is a plus, but it is not a requirement for many positions.

Available Positions

Community Internship – Community Health Advocate. Interns in this role gain practical experience in health promotion, community engagement, and advocacy. You’ll learn about the Social Determinants of Health and participate in workshops, outreach events, and data collection efforts that address health disparities affecting underserved communities.

Community Internship – Fundraising and Events. This position offers valuable experience in donor engagement, campaign planning, and event coordination. Interns assist with donor research, help maintain records, and support the development of creative fundraising initiatives — learning essential skills in nonprofit development and project management.

Community Internship – Marketing. If you enjoy storytelling, digital media, and community outreach, this role is for you. Interns support the creation of social media content, email newsletters, and promotional materials, while helping to plan and promote EMBRACE’s programs and events that celebrate culture and community.

Community Internship – Social Navigator. This internship provides direct experience supporting individuals and families in need. Interns help assess needs, connect clients with resources, participate in outreach activities, and document service outcomes — gaining practical case management and problem-solving experience.

Why Intern with EMBRACE?

These internships are offered through the Federal Work Study (FWS) Program, with pay starting at $13 per hour. All positions are on-campus opportunities and offer flexible schedules that support students’ academic and personal balance.

At EMBRACE ALL LATINO VOICES, nearly half of our team members are under 24 years old, making it an ideal environment for emerging professionals passionate about community change and cultural understanding.

How to Apply?

All positions are listed on Hire-A-Niner and open through early January 2026. Interviews begin in November 2025.
