NOW HIRING: Coordinator of Cultural & Artistic Events (Part‑Time)

Location: EMBRACE Carolinas Headquarters – Charlotte, NC

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional availability for weekend events

Start Date: 11/03/2025


Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is a valuable plus.

  • Experience or involvement with Latin American culture, especially Brazilian culture.

  • Reliable transportation.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Able to start immediately.

  • Hourly wage, negotiable and commensurate with experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and execution of cultural events, including festivals, musical performances, community fairs, and exhibitions.

  • Serve as a liaison between artists/community and the EMBRACE team, ensuring events reflect the diversity of Charlotte's culture.

  • Assist with scheduling, invitations, logistics, and event setup.

  • Coordinate rehearsals and cultural activities with participants, volunteers, and partners.

  • Manage and organize cultural and promotional materials (e.g., traditional costumes, decorations, banners).

  • Participate in team alignment meetings to guarantee quality in events.

  • Represent EMBRACE at public events when requested.
